Advantages: Reasonably priced cards, cards to suit every taste, free postage, free card for you and your friend if your friend registers
Disadvantages: none
Are you forever forgetting to send birthday cards, and left feeling guilty for days? Or you simply haven’t got the time to go looking for a card? Well I have found a website that might come in handy for you. Sharpcards.com is a greeting cards website that will email you a reminder when an important date is coming up, such as Uncle Fred’s birthday, or mum and dads anniversary. All you have to do is register and enter your friends and relatives birthdays, anniversaries on their website. On the website they sell a variety of greetings cards to suit every occasion. The cards are reasonably priced at around £1.50 per card. Obviously some cards are more expensive; it just depends on what the design is. When you buy a card from them, you can have a personal message handwritten by Sharpcards, or alternatively you can have the card sent to your home address for you to write your own message in. The best thing about Sharpcards.com is that postage is free to anywhere in Britain. Order before 3.30 pm Monday – Friday and it will be sent by first class Royal Mail post. You can also purchase gift vouchers from the site and have these posted to your friend/relative. This is a very good way to send the ideal gift to someone, without the hassle of going shopping in the high street. The gift vouchers available from sharpcards.com are as follows:- Our Price, Boots, The Sanctuary, Heal’s, Blockbusters, Wine Rack, Waterstones, Victoria Wine, Marriott Hotels, Café Rough, The Dome, Bella Pasta, Thresher, TGI Fridays, One for the Road, Bottoms-up, Virgin Leisure Breaks One of the things that I liked most about this website was the word FREE!! When you register with the site, you can receive a free card if you refer a friend who also has an email address. If your friend registers, not only do you receive a free card, so does your friend! It is free to join, so you have nothing to lose.
r>At the moment the website is advertising mainly Christmas cards, which I think purchasing individually would cost a lot of money. However, they are offering free sample Christmas cards for you to look at. You can choose up to 5 sample cards to be sent to your home. I personally only saw about 3 Christmas cards that I liked, as most of the cards are boring snow scenes and I prefer something a bit more modern. However, again these samples are free so choose 5 if you can. Currently there is a special offer on their Christmas cards if you buy 5 packs or cards you get another one free. You will get the least expensive card for free. I personally like buying Christmas cards that donate some money to charity. Sharpcards do offer packs of cards from a number of British charities such as:- The British Red Cross Cards for Good Causes Care Cystic Fibrosis Haven Trust RLNI Marie Curie Cancer Care Mencap NSPCC Scope If you are really lazy they do offer a personalised printing service on boxed Christmas cards. They will print a message of your choice on all your cards, with your address, and even your signature if required. This service is also available to businesses. All in all a very good website that offers cards to suit every taste. I will certainly be using this service for sending birthday cards in the future.
