Advantages: good clothes
Disadvantages: none
I used to have a Great Universal catalogue years ago and last year I kept seeing adverts on the tv for a catalogue called Simply Be. I don't really like clothes shopping and since 'm not what you would call skinny, I just kind of buy clothes because I have to and when I need to. You may laugh, but I tend to buy a good few items about twice a year, kind of a winter then spring shopping spree. This catalogue does sizes 14-32. They also do boots and shoes and they have wider fitting incase you have wider feet, which i've not seen in a catalogue before.
There is a good selection of work, casual, evening wear clothes as well as shoes, bags and accessories. The prices are average and just the same, if not a bit better prices than other calalogues.
The website is easy to use. It's www.simplybe.co.uk. I went to the website to get a catalogue and I immediately got a credit limit of £125 given to me. I found that I used this up pretty much on my first shop and I got a 20% discount on the first shop as well. They were quick to put my credit limit up, roughly every 4 months I got an increase of a couple of hundred pounds, even when I wasn't using the limit.
At the top of the page is the sign in part. I often forget my account number, and if this happens they ask you a few security questions and let you in if you answer correctly. They also e-mail your account number straight over to your e-mail address. It s easy to check your purchases, balance, when your next payment is due and to make a payment through their secure site.
Down the left hand side you can choosewhat you are looking for - tops, trousers, homewear and so on. Also their is a search bar at the top of the page where you can type a description in, catalogue code or that and it will bring the exact item up.
There is a £2.95 charge for postage. This is for standard postage and I ordered last thursday evening and got my things on monday morning. There used to be an option where you could pay an extra £4 on top of the postage and get it next day delivery, depending when you ordered and I only used this option once.
You also get 28 days to return your item if you don't want it and you get a pre paid label and envelope in your parcel. You can get the parcel picked up at your house or just take it to your local post office.
A great website with a great selection of classic and fashionable clothes.
