Ok so there's a sincere void in the high street for consumers of my size, and if arcadia think that chucking the addition of Evans into their chain is going to compensate for the severley sizeist sticks-only sanctity that is Topshop, they are very much mistaken. The choice at my local Evans store is sleep inducing to say the least. So thank goodness for the advent of e-commerce and Simply Be! For without which, my wardrobe would resemble a collection of multcoloured tents.
Ok so the most important thing - the clothes - are FASHIONABLE! Yes they manage to capture all the latest trends without being cheesy and still being flattering on my lumpy figure. The pick out the seasons key trends and then allow you to browse by collection, and as you click through to the desired item you can also select the other items the model is wearing which is excellent seeing as the majority of their outfits are very well put together and thus saves much needed browsing time. The accompanying selection of shoes is hit and miss, I often only find one or two pairs that I like in their seasonal collections. Their bags/accesories section is continually improving, their summer collection had an oh-so covetable chanel-esque quilted tote at a reasonable £45. By far one of their strongest suits is the underwear and shapewear section with a fabulous sell-out collection by Gok Wan.
The site is easy to use, orders arrive promptly, returns are completely hassle free due to their free couriered returns process which should be offered by all online retailers. You can pay by credit or debit card or, if you are ordering multiple sizes colours, you may want to take advantage of their customer account facility. Just be sure to pay the full balance each month to avoid a riduculous rate of APR. This also allows your credit to increase, at the moment I have a generous £600 credit limit, which is so useful when I cant decide which £60 dress I would like the most, so I order all 4 to help me make up my mind!!
