Simply fair is a website for people who want to know that what they buy is fair-trade, ethical, organic, sustainable and that the company themselves take all of these issues very seriously.

I first came across them when looking at Quidco, the cash back site, as they give generous cash back when you shop through them. I like to get perks when I am shopping, and combined with the company ethics which are second to none I decided to try them a few months ago and have been very pleased indeed.

The company themselves are interesting as they run their office using a supplier called Green Energy. This is a company specialising in supplying energy from renewable sources. This involves forward thinking to reduce dependence on oil which of course is eventually going to run out.

The website is hosted by a company called 1 and 1 who are the first large web hosting company to be powered by renewable energy.

Nobody wants their items to arrive damaged as this is annoying and wasteful both for the product and the extra miles the replacement has to travel so the company do not skimp on packaging. However they use recycled materials for this and they will reuse any packages which come into their warehouse from suppliers if they can.

Their offices are also run with respect for the environment and everything they do is with this in mind whether it is re-using items or for example not generating paperwork unnecessarily.

So whether you are looking for a hamper to give a friend for Christmas or just want to buy items which you know fit all the criteria under the ethical category then Simply Fair are a good family run company to try.

My first order with them arrived very quickly and the quality was great. I tend to buy fair- trade tea and coffee and was enticed by their large bulk packs of these from Tea and Coffee Direct.
They do a good range of chocolate and groceries as well as gifts, household cleaning products and gadgets.
They always have a good range of sale items and out of date goods which are lovely and often less than half the price-you just need to eat them quickly.
Orders over £ 100 are sent out post free and there is a graded scale for smaller orders. They also do business accounts if you are a business and maybe want to stock up on the bulk packs of goodies.
Just now they have a great range of festive treats to tempt you.

I have been delighted with my orders of which I have now had several and I have signed up to the website email for special offers and news.

A great site for anyone who is ethically minded and wants to help save our planet.

Summary: A family business run as ethically as possible.
