Initially, (when they wanted my order and money), the service and spex were fine, but when I needed to have the spex repaired under the terms of their guarantee - the problems started. They told me , via an e-mail, that the repair would be free, but after sending them back , ( and waiting ), they informed me it would cost £35. 00 ! I phoned them ( after they ignored my email ) , and they reluctantly agreed to do it for free. I then waited for weeks--nothing! Don't believe the 'Honest John' blurb that this website spouts. I have paid nearly £200 for glasses from them. When enquiring about the progress of my order they state that they don't understand the delay and that they will get back to me. They never do and now they are not replying to emails. I needed some new prescription glasses and went to the local chain spectacle high street shop and had, at the time, what I thought was a good deal, 2 pairs of glasses, 1 for reading and 1 for long distance. The reading pair was £85 with scratch resistant lenses and the distance pair around £145 with scratch resistant, photo chromatic, and anti glare lenses. I also required another pair of the distance glasses with anti scratch and anti glare but these would cost another £125.
