Premium Review New type of splash plastic-prepaid Maestro Card (364 words)

Splash plastic has now changed from being a top up card to use to spend on the internet at selected on-line stores (which was a very good service) into a pre-paid "Maestro" card operated by 360 money which uses the splashplastic name which means you can now top up this card and spend it anywhere that takes the Maestro logo, thats many online and high street shops. Sounds great, but dont be foolded. For starters, you have either got to pay £6.99 for the card initally then pay 25p for each transaction you make, or you can pay a monthly fee of £1.99 and not have to pay for the card or transaction fees. Not so good, especially when the previous splash plastic ...  Read the complete review

I first signed up to the Splash Plastic scheme after hearing great things about it from my boyfriend who had also signed up. I went to the website (http://www.splashplastic.co.uk) and read up on exactly what this bit of plastic would enable me to do and how to use it and decided that i had to have one!! Being 17, i cant have a credit card which also means that previously i couldnt buy anything over the internet without having to bully my parents into the idea of letting me use their credit cards first! This never went down very well so i filled in the necessary forms and sent off my application. Shortly afterwards i got a confirmation email informing me that my ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review splashplastic.com: Now anyone can shop on the internet! (369 words)

Based on the idea of paying as you go, this relativley new service from splash plastic means that anyone can shop on the internet - without a credit card. The card can be issued to anyone, any age. A great idea for children wanting to buy items from selected shops. The card means that you can never get into debt, you top up the card by using the paypoint/payzone services offered by newsagents and supermarkets, and the cash is instantly creditted to your online account. You can go into the shops that have been chosen for use of the card and buy your items (if you have enough funds) as you would a normal credit/debit card. The Splash plastic card gives ...  Read the complete review
