I used streetshirts to order a running vest for my first ever marathon back in June 2013. I was running for a good cause and wanted to run wearing a top highlighting it. I left it a little late, but still had 4 working days to spare from the estimated delivery date, so reckoned I'd be OK. I stayed up till 2am designing my perfect running top.
The top never arrived, and I was very disappointed. There was no time to try anywhere else. I never got my photos of me proudly finishing the race while supporting my good cause.
I felt a little mollified when Streetshirts promised they'd refund me. This was July 2013. I waited and waited and finally contacted them last week. No reply a week later. I contacted them again on Friday, still no reply.
Now I see other reviews I realise that this is par for the course: this company takes your money, then doesn't deliver and doesn't refund.
To add insult to injury this is the worst ever company I have ever encountered for spam. A daily email glorifying products and service which I know now to be empty promises.
Out of 8 t-shirts delivered (took a week to get them) 7 had bad printing mistakes and 2 were the wrong sizes. Sent them back. Called Streetshirts as heard nothing after 7 days "oh we haven't processed the returns yet"! Emailed details of what was wrong and the correct sizes. Promised me that they'd send replacement shirts in 2 days time but after 3 weeks of calls I finally got them and yes 3 were incorrect sizes!!! UTTERLY INCOMPETENT!! My group is really disappointed that even though I ordered a month in advance of our trip we now have to go without t-shirts. :-(
I ordered from Streetshirts on May 8, 2013, and then didn't receive any sort of confirmation on the order.
When I finally emailed them to ask about - and I will say they are quick to reply to emails - they told me they were having problems with their company. I felt sympathy, and resolved to be patient with the order as they seemed to be working it out.
Finally, over three weeks had passed. I even received an email asking me to rate their shirts, despite them not having arrived. I emailed again, was told that they didn't know why the shirts hadn't arrived, but they would re-make them and mail them right away.
Despite their constant mentions on their website about next day delivery and quick delivery in general, even after this second order was put in, I didn't receive it for almost over a week. In contrast, as someone who regularly orders online, my orders from Amazon and other places are example are very quick to arrive.
Finally, when the shirts arrived two days ago, they were incorrect. Not just a little incorrect - the t-shirt itself was incorrect, the design was in the wrong place (they mixed up the back and front, despite it being crystal clear on their own design application on their website), and the finish on the design was also incorrect. The other shirt I ordered also had the design with the wrong finish.
When I emailed back again to ask for this to be corrected, they told me that if I sent back the shirts, they would see 'what happened', and re-do it. I asked if they could make and mail the shirts immediately since it's been not their supposed next day service but well over a month we're talking about now. If they at least started the process right away, I wouldn't have to wait for them to receive the shirts, reprocess the return, start the order again, and deliver again, all of which just adds more time to an order that's already outrageously late.
Instead, I got a one line response telling me to send the shirts back first if I wanted a reprint.
I'd been patient up until this point. The whole experience with Streetshirts was so bad, that despite the fact I almost never write reviews (the only exceptions in the past have been places that provide stellar service), I felt I had to share if only so that someone else could avoid this. I understand their company is going through a tough time but that makes it more important for them to provide good customer service to customers they still have. They definitely lost one here!
Well...the experience with them is...ming blowing. Had an order on them...they delayed for 4-5 days before someone reviewed it. After review..."oh, sorry, not on stock". Took them 2 days to see that i've wanted something else and because i wanted an fast shipping i had to pay extra for an express courier. The courier was fast and when it finally arrived, only half an order was shipped. Ordered a shirt and a mug. When i've contacted them about the mug...well...a nice lady told me that "they had some problems and...that's it"...and now after a month, i still try to get a refund for the mug and the shipping...Please, save yourself the trouble and buy somewhere else.
I ordered two mugs on 1st March. 3 weeks later they had not arrived and I checked my account to see their status...they had not even started to produce the order. This is a company that openly claims on their website "Our dispatch times are the best on the web".
I contacted their customer support and asked them where my order is and how they substantiate the above claim. They ignored my question about their dispatch times (I take that as they are fully aware they are lying about that claim) and that's only supported by the fact that they were aware for 3 weeks whilst they had my order that they couldn't supply the mugs and at no time did they notify me. I had to chase them to find out what was happening!
Not only that, they had charged my credit card and now 5 weeks later have not yet refunded my money despite my asking several times and them claiming it will be forthcoming. This company is completely unprofessional and dishonest. DO NOT USE THEIR SERVICES!
They lie about their dispatch times, they lie about being able to supply products and so far they seem to be lying about providing a refund. Horrendous.
Firstly I have no doubt this "outfit" employ a company to make up reviews on this and other review sites. Other review sites have a location feature which shows all reviews 5* reviews coming from America - not bad for a company that only sell to Europe! Once you notice this you will find that 95% of all the genuine reviews are slating the company.
They have pulled thier Facebook page as they were getting so many negative reviews placed on the site, on Facebook it must be too hard for them to create false profiles (having friends, having photos, posting status updates etc).
Back to my story.
I uploaded my image and it looked great on the preview on the site, yet when it eventually turned up, some 3 weeks after the original date, and even late after the 2nd estimated date.... It was the wrong size, it was printed in the wrong position but worst of all they managed to flip and mirror the image.
The image was actually an image with text embeded in the image - so what appears on the preview screen was readable - it was english not some arabic or other unknown charachters. The text within the image was not hidden or confused with the image. It was around an inch from the image and in basic Arial font as the idea was that it could be read upon the T-Shirt as people passed by.
The quality control was either blind, drunk or can't read, possibly all 3.
My initial attempt to resolve the issue was to call them - they didn't pick up the phones at all, then I decided to email them - they sent an automated "blanket response" reply back claiming to be very busy, apologising for the delays in any orders. They have yet to respond personally to the email. I messaged them on Facebook, no reply, a few weeks later they remove thier page completly. Luckily I paid by PayPal and rasied a dispute which they didn't respond to at all so PayPal refunded in me full without question. I would guess from the number of complaints on the Facebook page before they took it down that PayPal may ban them if they all put claims in so raise your dispute now.
The owner of the business is "Steve Winn" good luck if you can contact him, I couldn't get anyone to respond to any communication.
Perhaps I got lucky with streetshirts, but when I decided to design a personal tshirt for my boyfriend I found the design process on this site both helpful and simple. I was using a high contrast black and white image on a white tshirt, and the tools in the designing program allowed me to 'vectorise' the image, therefore only the black of the image would be printed, which is what I wanted. However it was only when I read the terms and conditions that I noted something regarding the quality of the image. While it may have looked good on screen, the quality may not have been good for printing. So beware, and use a high resolution image if possible.
The Tshirt arrived swiftly (I ordered on saturday and it arrived on tuesday). The shirt was wrapped in tissue paper and presented neatly. It also arrived with a £5 voucher valid for ten days.
The only thing I would say is be wary of the sizes, and look at the size info. My boyfriend would normally take an M but in this case I bought a S which fitted him better.
I'll definitely be using streetshirts again!
I think it is very deceiving that your designs are made public automatically unless you untick the box. This may seem like a small issue but it means that certain images which are personal artwork can be worn by other people!I saw the box just as I clicked and tried to stop the page from loading but was too late. I think this should be left unticked so that you can tick it if you wish.i emailed to ask for my work to be taken off the site but they said they wouldn't as I had left it ticked. I was looking for a company to do a bulk order with but will never use them again.
This website featured a nifty little tool for designing your shirt and it had lots of great-sounding quotes from seemingly happy customers dotted around the site. I was convinced to pick them out of all the other t-shirt printing companies on the web on the strength of these quotes! How wrong I was. The artwork I chose for my shirt included the word 'dream'... It arrived quickly enough through the post and I tore it open in excitement, only to find that 'dream' was spelled 'drem'. Oh dear! What a let-down. What irked me more than this though was that included in my package was a printed list of the journey my shirt had taken from my design to despatch... This list included a lot of quality testing including 'shirt matched to your design'. Ha! This was either a lie or the quality testers are sight-impaired.
Obviously, this shirt was going back! The instructions with my package were to log onto the website and under my account choose 'arrange return'. There was NO such link, so I had to call them up (slightly irksome). I told the woman I wanted to return an incorrectly printed shirt, no hint of apology from her, in fact she sounded so nonchalant about the matter that it made me think they print shirts incorrectly on a daily basis! She did not explain why the link was not on the website to arrange a return but instead said she would email me the returns form. She emailed that right over and I filled it right in and walked right over to the post office to return the shirt. I had to include my P.O receipt to claim back the post and packaging I had to pay to return it. Yes, I had to pay for the return, then open the package to insert the receipt, then close the package before giving it back to the P.O cashier, smooth.
I hadn't heard anything about the return after a 3 days so I emailed asking if they had received it back. Yes they had and they were processing the refund (still no apology for their lack of quality control). I got my refund for the shirt 2 days later but low and behold, no refund on postage. I had to email AGAIN to ask for this (I just feel like I'm begging now) and was told they will process that too. I am waiting 3 days later for this to happen.
I shudder over the customer service of this place!
I ordered my T-shirt but I ordered the wrong size. The day I received my order I phoned up to ask if i could replace my order for a different size and they did this FREE. Apparently they have a new complete customer satisfaction guarantee. So even though I made the mistake of ordering the wrong thing they fixed this for me for free. Great Service THANK YOU STREETSHIRTS
I ordered quite a simple design. A red shirt with a yellow five point star (the flag of Vietnam, in case you wanted to know) on the front and a smaller one on the back near my right shoulder.
At £17.99 each with free delivery, I considered it a reasonable price for a custom T-shirt given that I had just been looking through the Route One catalogue which charges you £20-29 for some set design brand tees.
The designing is all done in an easy to use embedded flash tool on their website. First of all, you to select the colour and the type of clothing you want. Then you can add text, insert (or expand upon) a premade design or create your own design by uploading your own images (as long as they don't infringe copyright). There is no worrying about whether your design is centred properly as they provide you with a tool to align it in just about every which way possible.
You have the entire shirt to work with, including the sleeves. The premade designs on offer are actually of quite high quality and there are so many on offer you should surely fine something that you like. Other things you can design other than t-shirts, include mugs, hoodies and shorts.
Once you are done designing, there are 7 size options to cover the full spectrum, from S to 3XL to choose from and you can purchase multiple items if you so choose. I had no issues with payment and the order was placed fairly quickly so I was happy in that respect.
I was pleased with the quick delivery as my shirt arrived after only two days (I ordered after 2pm). It looked to me like they bought a plain red shirt then added the stars on in a sort of ultra-thin plastic coating. The result actually looks quite good, it was what I had hoped for although sometimes when I look at it up close the stars look like stickers. It does also make me wonder what a more complicated design would have come out looking like.
In summary, this is a great website to create custom gear but the shirt quality could use a little work.
After reading another review on this site about Streetshirts, I thought I'd share my experience of them. There seam to be too many negative reviews on this site, so when I had a good experience I wanted to share it. First I must point out that Streetshirts have two sections to their website, a section for their own designs (majority) and a section for custom t-shirts. I did not use the custom t-shirts section that the other reviewer did, but instead bought one of their own limited edition designs. I found the site while browsing the web for t-shirts, for a friends birthday (I bought a t-shirt for myself in the end). I was pleasently surprised by the site and thought the designs were great so gave them a go, even though I'd never heard of streetshirts before. I ordered in the morning and and the t-shirt arrived next day (they say approx five days so I wasn't expecting it) Unfortunately, it was too small so I got on the phone and asked to change it. They said of course I could, and that i should send the other one back. The site says that they wait to receive the retun before sending out a replacement, but they told me on the phone that they wouldn't in my case (maybe they would for big orders?). I got the replacement quickly, this time it took two days. The t-shirts were of high quality (only tried the womens), nicely fitted and really thick material. The design was printed well. I found the service excellent, and on the phone they seam completely committed to customer satisafction. I am surprised at the other review (although it was a different section of the site): and we don't know all the details of what happened. Hope this helps you make a decision. I have tried to keep it as factual as possible (for an opinion! :) ), but I will be shopping there again.
This is possibly the worst online company ive had the displeasure of dealing with. They were very quick to debit my account but after 4 weeks of waiting for the product I had to email them to chase it up after which they found my order. They then proceeded to take two weeks to print the wrong image onto the t-shirt (which wasn't of great quality). I emailed them to say i wasn't pleased with the product and they blamed me for there tool submitting the wrong picture. <snip> We certainly are blaming this on you: > >I emailed you recently and you confirmed that your shirt was a photo of > >che guervara. That was the t-shirt you got.
