Are you sitting comfortably? Then I shall begin. Once upon a time, when I was just a little girl, there was a wonderful place just down the road from where my Nan lived. This place was a paradise for children - a garden of sweets, an Aladdin's Cave of sugary delights - where I was taken each time I visited her. But only if I had been a good girl, mind.
