Grab yuorself a cup of tea, and a biscuit and read my experience with techtronics. Although I go on a bit, I thought I would account for every detail just so you know who frustating this comany really are. What you gain in saving money, you lose in customer service... I read some other peoples reviews and thought.. wow a lot of people think the customer service is terrible. But they must just be unfortunate, it won't happen to me surely!! Their prices are good and my original order was delivered quickly and punctually but it was unsuitable and I returned it to exchange for a different model after waiting a couple of weeks was informed by e-mail that the product was unavailable and my order was cancelled. That was the beginning of December - I am now waiting for my £68.00 deposit ( I ordered on 6 months interest free credit - definitely don't do this as your deposit can only be paid by cheque and there is no credit card to 'protect' any payments you make.) Bought modified Toshiba 220 DVD player to play all region CDs August 2002. Delivery was promised in the evening. I arrived home a few days later at the earliest promised delivery time to find a note indicating that the player had been delivered and taken back to the depot. I contacted the delivery company. There turned out to be a 1 hour difference between the delivery companies definition of the start of an evening and that of Techtronics. I chose to pick the player from the depot rather than risk another missed delivery. I don't know if this issue on evening deliveries still exists. Product initially worked ok.
