A view from a drivers point!!!

I have been working at tesco.com as a driver for the past 3 years, and having reviewed you comments, i would like to put you in my shoes for 5 mins.

Upon getting into work on a morning we get a list of all our customers and the times the customers request their shopping.

On average each driver will deliver between 25/30 drops each day and will have no longer than 1 hour dinner on a 9-7 shift.

locations of customers can range from 2 miles from 1 customer to another, or 10 miles from one to another, also we have a tendancy to get deliveries where the customer lives on the top floor of a 15th storey flat, and tesco's only give a driver 6 mins to do the drop,how we do it is we stick a feather in our hat and then we fly just like dumbo!!!

We also have customers whom live in rural locations down some random lane which you can only just squeeze a mini down there, which is not in the a-z and the house is a further 500 yards on down the lane and the customer does not leave any delivery instructions( mystic meg), and when you call them to ask for directions they don't answer the phone,

The above description of our job is just a snip of what happens as a tesco driver.

I agree that us drivers should not be rude to customers however, we do have some people whom are so rude to us and they do demand more than the service provides and most importantly is that we have another 29 customers to deliver to and a very small amount of time to do it in!!!!
