Tesco.com is my preferred shopping site for my main grocery shopping and I use it every two weeks and have my shopping delivered to my door.

When you log on to Tesco.com you will be gvien a choice of Tesco areas to log onto such as Tesco groceries and wine, Tesco Direct for household items, furniture, electricals toys etc, entertaintaiment for dvd's, cd's and games and also an area for things such as broadband and insurance.

When you first use the site you have to set up an account with user name which is your email and also a password which you use each time you log on. Gives you the option to also store your card details with them to so you don't have to fill in all of your details each time and savs on time.

I find the grocery site easy to use and once you click onto it you will be given the choice of tesco grocery or tesco wine. Wine and alcohol is available through the main grocery site from the wine isle and the tesco wine site is for making large purchases of wine, for example a box of twelve of a certain wines and they frequently have offers available for these.

The site is devided into diffferent areas, food and drink, baby and toddler, pets and household, health and beauty so you can go into these areas for your shopping. You then get a choice of what your looking for to help you fine it easier so for example going into food and drink will give you a long list of departments and areas such as dairy and eggs, the bakery, meat, bicuits, frozen and they all then go into sepperate areas so if your looking for frozen very vegetables just click on that area, fresh vegetable then go into that area and so on.

The site also has on the homepage a special offers section and gives you the option to navigate all the offers or just buy one get one free, three for two or items that are basically reduced in price. It's always worth having a lok at the offers and I generally buy multiple items of products I use often.

If you are a smoker you can also purchase your items on this site and have them delivered with your order as there is a tobacco section.

Once you start to use the site it becomes easier to use and I find that when I have tried using other supermarket sites they are harder to use but using the Tesco site on a regular basis makes it much quicker.

Tesco also send you emails with e vouchers and offers if you choose to sign up to them and this can also save you more money off your shopping. I also use the internet to find voucher codes and for example these can save you anything from five pounds of a fifty pound shop or nine pounds off a ninety pound shop or will give you extra points for a certain spend and these are well worth looking for. I use Martin Lewis Money Saving expert for these as the codes are easier to find as it has it's own Tesco codes only forum.

This sometimes pays for the delivery or reduces your bill by a few pounds and better in our pockets.

Tesco give you the option to have green points for not using carrier bags much as they do in store though I found this difficult when the delivery man arrives at your door with all the shopping in green totes, unbagged and seems to take a long time to get the shopping indoors but again it does help with the recycling issues so be prepared with your bags or use a container to bring them in.

Tesco will give you an alternative product should your product be unavailable though there is an option to opt out from this though I have found on a few occassions the driver has said I have a substituted item. You have the option to give this back to the driver.

Also use your Tesco card to earn four point per one pound spent and I find that these mount up quickly and I usually have a minimum of twenty pounds every three months to pay off my shoppng or you could use these for other hings such as days out or even towards your holiday.

There are various slots available and these come in two hour slots and I ahve never had a late delivery as yet. The evening slots seem to be a little cheaper and I find that these suit me better and ususally choose a 9pm to 11pm slot but again it caters these for your lifestyle.

Look for promotions on the site such as fifty pound spend for a five pence off litre of petrol voucher. I find these have a much longer expiry date than the ones you get in the store. The price at the checkout on the site does not include any reductions for offers and for example buy one get one free will not show up so by spending say sixty pounds you wold qualify for this but in reality your bill may only be forty five pounds due to the offers.

I use a calculator so I have a rough idea of how much my bill is likely to be and I always write out my shopping list as I find it easier to then just add my items to my basket. I do a menu for two weeks so I ensure I buy all the meals I need so only ever needing to buy fresh products within the week as a top up.

I find that I don't buy products I don't really need this way and it helps to save money.

A big bonus for internet shoping for me is that I'm not always able to get out and having it delivered to the door relieves me of the worry of not being able to get out for my shopping.

Once you get use to the lay out of the site it becomes really quick and easy to use and I find I can actually save money by internet shopping at Tesco.com
