Tecos direct delivery (tesco.com)

Disadvantages: it went wrong

Ordered a digital camera off tescos direct, which qualified for free delivery. Was even able to specify a 2 hour time slot for camera to be delivered. Logged on to my tescos account 30 mins before item was due to be delivered. Wasn't too pleased when it said that there was a problem with my order and a customer service agent would contact me asap. Great, i thought, i had ordered the camera 3 days ago and had not had any contact me. So i called up their customer service hotline which is an 0845 number and costs quite a bit from mobiles i think. First guy i spoke to said he would check it out and call me back. He never did, cheers micheal. Phoned again 1 hour later and got through to a nice girl called danielle, would did call me back. She organised for the product to be delivered specially from the local store there and then and it eventually arrived, actually being delivered by a tescos worker in their own car. So intially i thought itwas going to turn in to a nightmare scenario but they did redeem themselves with decent customer service

Summary: Tescos mucked it up, but then redeemed themselves
