Advantages: Easy & Cheaper.

I had been thinking about getting a Tesco home delivery for a while, but somehow always ended up going shopping in Tesco myself. So when I had a very busy week and was unable to find time to go food shopping I thought it was the perfect chance to use the online shopping!

~ How Do You Do This? ~

You go onto the Tesco website and sign up, this is very easy and you don't need to put any details such as card details.
Just a e-mail address, Postcode and clubcard number (if you have one.) You then make your own password to secure your account.
You are then free to browse the Tesco website!

~ Shopping Online? ~

Once you are signed in, you can browse the food. There are tabs at the top of the page for the different items, baby, food & drink, house, pet etc.. Or you can simply put the item name e.g. Bread into the search tool bar on the right hand side.
It is really easy to find what you are looking for and if you are looking for a specific item e.g. Huggies Size 4, it will come up and also show you the cheaper alternatives. If your not sure and just type in say Nappies it will come up with every brand (normally Tesco's own first)
I like the fact that it will show you cheaper alternatives as this can save you money or infact the cheaper alternatives are on a deal!
When I did my shopping online I was able to find every item online with no problem and most of the items had a picture and information if you are not sure.

~ Paying ~

Paying is again really easy! You choose a Delivery slot prices range from £4-5.50 And times are very good from 9am - 11pm.
Once you have placed your delivery slot, you can then put your card details in, this takes no time about 2 minutes if that. If you want to save your card details for future online orders you can, if not then you don't have to save them.

I chose a delivery slot of 7-9pm, I must say they just got here on time at 8.50pm. But he did get a little lost so he rang me up and he was really kind!
He got here and apologised, even though there was no need to and got my goods out of the van.
I opted for the 'No Bags' so my items were just in a strong plastic no-top box. It was easy to get the items out and as the man went to his van to bring me 2 more boxes I had already unpacked the last 2! I must say he was only here for about 10 Mins at the max.
After I had got all my items out, he asked if I had used the online service before. I hadn't and he kindly explained that items with a short life date would always be placed at the top of the recipt, and that they would be happy to take it back if I didn't want it.
Again if they didn't have an item in stock they would bring an alternative, lucky for me all my items were in stock so this was no problem. But if there was an alternative that I didn't want, they would take it back & refund me.
All items on the recipt are in groups so 'Freezer Goods', 'Fridge Goods' .... that sort of thing.
My Freezer items were still frozen which was brilliant as there vans are especially cooled. Where as if I drove they would be defrosting by the time I got home!
The Total is at the end of the recipt and he showed me that. Also I got the school vouchers which you also get instore so you don't miss out there if your collecting.

I will be using Tesco's online service again! It comes in really handy when you are very busy or if you just don't like food shopping. Instead of spending 1 - 2 hours browsing every isle, buying things I don't need I spent about 20 mins online buying what I needed. So I saved alot of money!
The service from the delivery man was exallent and he was very polite and helpful!
A 5* service from me!
