I love Tesco and spend every free minute in the actual shop, just browsing around and enjoying the atmosphere- even if I don't have to buy anything. So you can just imagine how I just adore Tesco's online shop. It is certainly a great website to be- whether you are just browsing through tabs or doing some serious shopping, tesco.com still remains an exemplary online store.


If you read my previous post about online shopping, you will note that the one element which I always look for first in any shopping sites is neatness and ease of accessibility. Tesco's site has so far not disappointed me. I am completely clueless and prone to serious credit card damage when left in a confusing shopping site where tabs and click boxes are scattered all over the place! This is why I highly admire Tesco's neatness- it reminded me of Amazon. As soon as you enter the homepage, you are greeted by a white and blue background with the familiar red Tesco logo at the top. The online store is as basic as you can get : tabs are classified according to themes. A few of these themes include Tesco diets, Community, Baby & Toddler, Clothing, Opticians, Environment, Club card and Books (among the various other tabs). In addition, the homepage will also display the current discounts and/ or special offers on certain specific items.


What I also like about Tesco's website is that it offers certain great features such as Tesco Travel money or the Summer/Winter clearance section. The Tesco Travel money for example, offers a 0% commission on all currency. In addition, I particularly like the clearance corner (which is where I always head first), and get some really amazing bargains over there! Currently the Clearance section includes these following categories:


Technology- up to 40% off computing
* Selected Furniture- Up to half price
* Sound and Vision- Branded Blu Ray Players from £99.97
* Garden/DIY & Sports- Savings on garden furniture
* Small Kitchen appliances- Up to half price
* Large Kitchen appliances- Clearance deals

* Toys & Babies- Up to half price
* Jewelry and Watches- Up to half price
* Other half price offers
* Electrical offers


I've personally had a look (and purchased) a few of their clearance articles recently and you can believe me when I say that these are high quality articles at extreme bargains. The reason why I love Tesco Online so much is also because of this fact; there are many items which are on sale online and certain prices that you will not find in the actual Tesco store or in most other shops.


Other special features of Tesco Online include a list of Tesco offline stores and their location- you may use postcodes or locations to see where the nearest Tesco is to you. I haven't had any major delivery problems yet, the articles I received were in perfect order! One last word- the delivery can be pricey at times o watch out for free delivery orders!


Overall, this is a site worth visiting, even if you aren't planning to do any shopping. Much definitely a site which, in my opinion, should rank among the greatest, such as Amazon!
