Advantages: Prompt service, user friendly site, top marks!

Disadvantages: None to list. Great experience.

I had long be wary of online shopping, especially in regards to food. 'Would the items arrive fresh as I would get them instore? Would I miss out on my deals? Would I spend more than normal?' these were just some of the questions going through my mind.

The website is user friendly, with a helpful little promo video which allows you to see the behind the scenes workings of Tesco online delivery. It was like all the little niggles I had, were answered (yay!).

Sign up takes a few minutes and isnt at all complicated.

You can shop for items by categories, Frozen Foods, Fresh Foods, Drinks etc. and from there select sub-catagories. For example, clicking on Fresh Foods will give you access to vegetables, meat and pastas, among other items.

All the instore offers are there and it is easier to find them...unlike wondering around the store looking for the bogof on Heinz beans while trying to stay in control of a wonky trolley.

I normally like to make a list through the week of what I am going to need for the month. On Tesco.com, this is no different and everything is saved so you can go back to add something when it springs to mind...a feature that I find very helpful. Your purchases are also saved for any future shopping you might do, becuase the basics will always be needed.

I decided on a time that would suit me and because of an online deal I received free delivery (though I wouldnt mind paying the £3 to £4 charge). I was also surprised that I had spent under my budget..having the items listed allowed me think very carefully about if I needed that item.

My delivery driver was on time, enthusiastic, chatty and knew that I might need a few points explained since it was my first time ordering online.

There is a wide range of stock available, only one of the items I ordered (out of a month's worth of shopping) had to be substitued and the delivery driver informed me that I was not obligated to take this item.

A refund notification was sent an hour after the driver left which I found very reassuring.

While I am normally exhausted after shopping; jumping on a bus, ladden with bags, praying a bag wont burst...Tesco delivery allowed me to put my shopping away calmly and tuck into dinner much sooner than I would have if I left the house.

A prompt, perfessional service, everything you would expect from a leading supermarket.

Summary: Reliable shopping from a supermarket on top of their game.
