I regularly do my grocery shopping from Tesco online. From what I've heard the service varies from area to area, but I've always found it to be first class.

As with any supermarket (I've tried them all) the ordering takes a little getting used to at first, once you've done a few shops and built up your 'favourites' list, you can quickly go in and select your regular items. The special offer sections are easy to navigate although I find that they don't always have all the special offer items in so I will have a look in the normal sections too. It is also quite annoying how even though you've picked a delivery slot it shows offers that aren't valid for that date so you have to check them, I have contacted Tesco about that and apparently it will be changing soon.

The delivery slots are 2 hours and are nearly always within that slot (I must have had at least 100 deliveries by now). They always text or phone when they think they might be late, although most of the time they do still get there within a slot. Once I had a phone call to say they were having real problems and couldn't deliver that day, so they gave me the choice of picking up the shopping (already packed for me) from a store or having the delivery the next day which I thought was very reasonable. Once I moved house but forgot to tell them, after phoning me from my old house on the other side of the city they then turned up a couple of hours later with my shopping, which I think really was above and beyond what I could expect from them.

I have had issues about the freshness and quality of goods with other supermarkets but no such problems with Tesco.

I am very, very happy with them and think its wonderful these days to have such a fantastic customer service where they really make you feel like a valued customer.
