When I first heard of online shopping, I thought it would be the next in revolution in retail and it would save on both time and effort. However, after trying it out with Tesco's I have completely changed my mind and unless some major changes are made I doubt I will ever use this service again.

Although I am an advocate of online shopping (I sell goods over the intenet myself!), I think it only works with packaged goods. The problem with supermarket shopping is that it is mainly perisable goods which you want from them like fruit and vegetables. Unfortunately when I ordered these items from Tesco's they were of poor quality and I had to refuse to take them which meant I had to go to the supermarket myself anyway. Whenever I go to the superamarket I always pick out the nice fruit and veggies but it seems Tescos do not teach this to their pickers! Either that or they are using as an avenue to get rid of old stock!

One of the better things about this service is that you are able to choose what time you want your delivery but dont expect the driver to be happy at random times of the day and night. The driver which was sent to me was extremely unhelpful and it seemed like all he wanted to do was go home.

I did call Tesco to tell them about my experience but they were not really helpful and just offered me free Clubcard points which the girl assumed was more than adequate!

Unfortunately I will not be using this service again unless they can gaurantee me quality food everytime. I am sure the service will improve in the future but until then I would suggest to stay away!
