I recently broke my laptop and wanted to replace it with a netbook, looking at your usual pc and electric chains but was suggested using Tescodirect.com. I regularly shop in Tesco but had never bought anything from their site or used online shopping from their company before.

I looked online for the Netbooks and found most were similarly prices to ones I had been looking at aprox £220 however there was a banner/advertisement below the item stating I could get £50 off any netbook priced £200 or more. The one I had my eye on was reduced from £249 to £219 and to my suprise I was able to get the extra discount taking it down to £169. Bargain!

Next was chosing delivery, which was free and could come next day. However knowing I would be at work all day I opted to collect in store the next day from 4pm. It was very easy to do although the staff were confused to whether I could have vouchers for the current pan/pot offer.

Paying for the item was simple and I connected my clubcard account and received almost £5 worth of points. I receieved an email invoice/payment notification as well as showing it on screen for those who require print outs.
What I thought was a nice touch was the text I receieved stating my netbook was ready for collection (earlier than the stated 4pm collection) which was nice to know.

The product was waiting for me and was straight forward to collect. I received the correct product.

The only issue came a couple of days into using the product when the screen wouldn't work. I tried ringing the automated helpline which directs you onto the manufacturers website. I hung up as I wanted to speak to Tesco as I wasn't willing to have it repaired. A ndew computer should last more than 48 hours. I imediately rang another number and waited to speak to a member of staff. To my amazement he was so helpful, apologetic and arranaged for my product to be collected and a new one delivered 2 days later which was perfect. I again receievd a text stating the day of my delivery and it gave me options to change the delivery date if required.

I'm using my new netbook and feel completely satisfied with any aspects of tescodirect.com.

I will definitely be using this again.
