The Book People are a web based company that sells books at heavily discounted prices for both children and adults. I have spent a lot of money at this website, but as a result, I have saved even more due to their excellent prices. I have mainly used it to buy books for my class (I am a primary school teacher) and the budget I get every year goes a lot further buying from here compared to Amazon or school catalogues. The only downside is that they don't offer many recent books and you have to search a little to find a great buy. They often to book sets, which a great buy, but you might end up with a few you don't want. Though, when you're paying on average £9.99 for anything up to 10 books, you don't really mind. My latest buy was The Gruffalo Book Set & CD, which contains 5 Julia Donladson books, which retailed for £29.95-I bought the whole set for £9.99.

It's a fantastic site when it comes to Christmas and birthday presents. Delivery can take about a week, but is free if you're spending over £25. I would also suggest going to Money Saving Expert forum for getting a free p&p code, which appears about once a month. A definite favourite.
