thebookpeople.comNewest Review: ... Graham Dixon's comprehensive Art book, which has something like 2500 images in it for £10 down from £30. They have a good selection of fiction, but these usually come in boxsets - such as Alexander McCall Smith ones, Jane Austen, Paulo Cuehlo, Anita Shreve for about a tenner. If you definitely want something it is best to snap it up straightaway as popular items can sell out fast when they get new stock in at the beginning of the month. I am thinking of a while back when they had all of that series's Richard and Judy book club reads for something ridiculous like £15. They also have a sister site "bananas.co.uk" - which app... more |

I first came across The Book People as a company when they used to come into a couple of my former workplaces, and I bought a few books of them. My partner's mum introduced me to their website about 2 years ago as she used it a lot and had bought me some books from there as presents. I have now used the website a few times. It is fair to say that the variety of stock is limited, only in that you can't just want any book and just expect it to be there. However, those that are there are at super knock down, almost unbelievable prices. The biggest savings can be found on reference books. I recently bought a giant Times History book for ... This is my one of my favourite book sites, it is some kind of wholesale type business as i've also had bookpeople representatives visit my place of work flogging their wares, but i'm definitely not complaining as they keep me stocked up with fantastic books with some of their great offers. The site doesn't offer a limitless supply of books like others such as Amazon or Waterstones, what it offers are a limited selection of books over all ranges at great prices. I have bought a number of fantastic cookbooks at half the price of WH Smiths and on occasions they have excellent offers for book sets, so I have bought a set of 12 Penguin Classic Books for ... I stumbled across The Book People website whilst searching for (cheap!) Christmas presents this year. To describe it - its amazing. I found the best bargains to be the sets. I bought a 14 book Penguin Classic book (the ones with the traditional, stylish 50s style covers in orange - really fashionable at the moment - mugs in this style cost around £15!) for £14 - just over a pound each! I then split them up into smaller sets for Christmas presents. As each book states a recommended retail price of around £7 it looks like you've spent a lot, when in reality you haven't! Also books make great presents. There are lots of sets like this - from the classics to more ... Read the complete review

The book people are a great source to get fantastic book at bargain prices. There is a very important point that I must stress firstly this is a website to buy books it is not a book club you can buy whenever you like you do not subscribe or become a member. www.thebookpeople.co.uk is a site I have used over 5 times in the past. They have always provided high quality book and are trustworthy. Website~ The website is very easy to navigate it has a good layout with categories down the left hand side such as Children's fiction, Children's reference, Children's TV characters, Adults fiction, Adults non fiction, biographies etc. Once you have ... I have a Book People catalogue in front of me now, so I thought they would be a good candidate for a review. I started reading at a very young age, and this interest has always stayed with me. I remember how excited I used to get over Roald Dahl's books in particular, so much so that I refuse to part with a big three story book of his which I received as a christmas present when I was five. Like a lot of parents my mum would often order books for me from the Red House book club, though now I bet she wishes she knew The Book People existed years ago... Unlike many businesses which sell books through catalogues, The Book People are not a club. There ... Read the complete review
