Advantages: Easy to sell their games

Disadvantages: They didn't pay me

I joined the slammer affiliate program about six months ago.The way it was supposed to work was,you advertise their site on your website,and they pay 10% for any sales.Sounded good to me.

When you make a sale,they email you to let you know.They give you a link to click on which takes you directly to your stats page.So far so good.In the months I was with them I sold £700 worth of hardware & software.A nice little earner for me of £70.Or so I thought.

I tried emailing them to request a payment.No answer.I tried again and again but still the same. I then decided to ring their sales number.Constantly engaged. Here we go again thought I. Another rip off company.

The next thing,their website disappears.Nice one slammer.No warning any thing was wrong.One minute they were there,then nothing.I kept trying their website address www.theslammer.com,until last week,hey presto they were back.

Well,not quite.You just get one page,with the message that a firm called IGI Investments is in the process of acquiring the business.They will be back online in a few weeks they say. I look forward to contacting them about my £70,but I am not very optimistic about getting my hands on that.

I don't know where I stand legally,but my experience of affiliate programs
is that they seem to be a law unto themselves.
