Advantages: Great deals, fantasic delivery from another country.

Disadvantages: Prices not as good due to the euro and pound.

Thomann is a German based audio equipment company with Thomann.co.uk being the UK website.

Ive used this website many times in the past for items such as Mackie Mixers, microphones, microphone stands, speaker stands and even my current desk for my recording setup. I got all of these at great prices. There always seems to be something in Germany that is a lot cheaper over there than it is in this country.
For example my speaker stands were £22 each for their normal price, where as over here they retailed at £54 each. I couldnt believe this!

I was a bit envious at first when ordering my products, wondering how long they may take being its from Germany. I did do a lot of research into the company online to see how reliable they were, and after reading a fair few positive articles I decided to make my purchase. As I spent over 100 euros I was eligible for free delivery. I made my order and actually recieved it 3 day laters. I couldnt believe how quick this was! This has been the same for each of my orders. Such an amazing prompt delivery, especially being its from Germany. This is infact quicker than some of my orders online from shops that are just a few hundred miles away, if that.

Each product was packaged perfectly, and I havent had any problems with any of the deliveries. The one shame about this site however, is due to it being in euros. The prices a few years ago were unbelievable good as the euro and pound were better against eachother. For example you could get a Shure SM57 microphone for simply £52 on this website after conversion, compared to the RRP being £70-90 in the UK. Now the prices are very similar, which in shame has left me not using the site as much as it can work out the same price to get it in this country.

If the euro does fall again however, which hopefully will be soon, I will definately be going back to Thomann to pick up many of their fantastic deals.

Summary: As soon as the euro may fall again, a perfect site to get the equipment you may need.
