Advantages: fab for people in rural areas!
Disadvantages: not as much choise as the shops
Topshop.com is one of the best online shopping sites in my opinion.
I love shopping in Topshop itself, but before moving to Glasgow I only had a very small Topshop and had to go all the way to Manchester before I discovered the site.
It's very easy to use unlike many of the high street shops sites. It doesn't have a lot of fancy flash and relies on old fashioned HTML so that if you click the back arrow on your browser absent mindedly you won't end up emptying your shopping basket!
The menu of categories is simple enough to use and I like reading their fashion blog, especially when it gives insight into new collections by concessions like Once Upon a Time, Celia Birtwell and Kate Moss.
A FANTASTIC new feature of the site is that they now accept paypal. I get paid through paypal which means I can shop here without waiting 10 days for the money to transfer into my bank account. Very handy for nights out close to pay day!
My only criticism is that they don't offer as much choice as they could, given what a huge collection topshop actually has. I'd like to see more of the concessions available online. I also get very frustrated with their online sales, which sell out immediatly. They don't update the site so everything you click on will already by out of stock. Can take an hours hunting and you won't find anything available!
i have fallen into a bit of a 'tourist trap' on occassion - seeing something beautiful sell out in most sizes so buying it spontaniously online, paying the extra for postage, and then discovering they had loads of them in my local store that i could have tried on and taken my time over.
Summary: easy to navigate and does what it says on the tin
