Disadvantages: postage, descriptions could be better

The flash had broken on our old camera, and I decided it was a good excuse to replace it with something more modern and upmarket!

After days of dithering I chose an Olympus Trip AF30 off the website www.cameras-at-lowest-prices.co.uk. Anyway as it turned out they didnt have it in stock, and I wasnt very impressed with their service, so it was back to the drawing board.

After lots more searching, I followed a link from the Egg shopping site to this unbeatable.co.uk.

The prices on this site seem excellent. I eventually chose an olympus mju II which was only 68.99. The rrp for this model seems to be about the hundred pound mark, and the cheapest I had found it up to then was 78.

They also stocked film at by far the cheapest prices I come accross. 2.39 for kodak colour gold 36 exposure!

They do charge postage unfortunately, 7.99 in this case. But the film didnt increase the postage, and I took advantage and ordered quite a bit for me and a friend.

It says delivery within 14 days, so I wasnt expecting to hear for a while, but I got a phone call the very next day that the camera and film would be with me the following day! And it was! So the speed was very impressive.

The chap I spoke to on the phone was very nice and friendly.

The website is very nice to use and browse around. They seem to stock most electrical products, and I'll definately bookmark them to use them again.

They are a Which approved website as well, which gives you addes peace of mind.

Likewise they are on the Egg shopping site, so they must sanction them too, plus if you pay with an Egg card you will get 2% cash back instead of just 1%.

The actual ordering process is very clear and straight forward, just a case of adding things to your basket, and then confirming and filling in your details at the end.

They also send you a confirmatory email, with details of your order. Plus there is a facilit
y on the website to track the process of your order.

All in all I was very impressed.
One slight down side though, was on the cameras certainly, the details were a bit scanty. I ended up using www.cameras-at-lowest-prices.co.uk to get the details, as they are must more comprehensive!
