USC is a clothing store I started using when I was a university student many years ago. I actually used to shop in their high street stores with my friends from uni but now I'm much older I feel it's rather more acceptable to use their online shop instead. The store is aimed at student and young adults in general though, although there are many items that older ladies and gentlemen can wear too! There is a 10% discount for students across the board. It is necessary to prove your student status by registering before you can claim.
I regard USC as a place I can find fashionable but affordable clothing, somewhere I'm likely to find current trends as well as the basics and somewhere I can find some of the most well respected and trendy brand names available.
The shop sells clothing, shoes and accessories for both men and women. They offer clothing from such brands as Firetrap, Lacoste, SoulCal, Vans, Diesel, Lispy and many more. I'm pleased with the huge range of items available including seasonal items. The range includes dresses, t-shirts, tops, jeans, trousers, skirts, jackets, sweats and more. In the shoe range there is a lot of diversity with more casual shoes alongside boots and more formal looking pieces.
My last purchase with USC was a shift dress during the summer. I like the lay out of the site as it's always easy to search through their collections. Items are photographed quite well although they are not often shown as worn by models so this can mean the perception of how a thing will look on has to be imagined. It's also difficult to gauge things like length and overall fit. However, items are usually shown from multiple angles with a zoom feature for looking at close up details which I appreciate.
The majority of sizes on the site are small with only a limited number of items going up to a size 18. As a size 14 I find that in most of the items this is the top size and is considered to be a 'Large'. This may give you an idea of the general sizing of the brands available. All the clothes I've purchased in my size have been a standard 14 though, so they don't seem to make clothing on the small size just because they are aimed at younger women.
You can pay by major credit and debit cards as well as by Paypal, an option I feel safer using. I would say that in general delivery speed is okay but could be slightly improved upon. However, I wouldn't hesitate to purchase from the site again. They have frequent sales running which also offer huge discounts. I would recommend to anyone aged 15-45.
