Advantages: easy to uses, Queue Jumping
Disadvantages: Fraud, 40 Pence Charge
Warner village previously knows as Warner Cinema had a joint venture with the international cinema Village to become “Warner Village”. This venture came around when village where interested in investing in cinemas in the United Kingdom. I have been work for around two year in this company and I must tell you that the booking system has got so much better. BOOKING VIA THE TELEPHONE --------------------------------------------- Long before the modern technology came across a lot of booking need to be done by ringing in and speaking to advisor to reserve your tickets. This normal involved in long queues and pain stating phone bills. But now due to modern technology there no need to call in and speak to an advisor. What now will happen is that you are prompted to the performance information and then you are ask if you want to book for that particular performance then select the option from the line. Once you press the option you are then ask to enter you credit card details to book from, also if your using switch card then it will ask you for issues number and expire date. Here an example for you to understand Lara-Croft - if you select this press 1, Now press * * (this is done to check to see if you have a touch tone phone otherwise it will put you through to an operator) It then prompt you with the days available to book for and you have to select from the list. It will not bring up any old information like past days only latest days. Most bookings are from Friday to Thursday and are kept up to date on Thursdays. Once you’ve selected the dates it will then bring up the times and then will ask you to enter how many adults or children or OAP and students there are. Once you’ve selected that then it will prompt you for credit card details. The system does remind you of your entries and also tell you where you are. It does advise
that they’re a 40 pence charge for each ticket. You also have to bring your credit card with you when getting your tickets. The reason for bringing your credit card is that there a queue jump machine where you swipe your card and the tickets are printed with a receipt of your transaction. I know you properly wondering what happens if you forgotten your card, well don’t worry just go to the box office and tell them and they will try and find your ticket by your details. There is one big problem with this system is that if you got a stolen credit card and quickly ordered your tickets and go in and swipe the card in the system. It will still issue the tickets, as the card is valid unless it has been reported well in time. BOOKING VIA THE INTERNET ------------------------------------------ But with the new technology and more and more people accessing to the internet it has become so much easier to book your tickets on line. The whole thing has so much extras to offer than a telephone line system. When I mean you get so much extra is that you’re not limited to the amount of information you get. Rather then just prompting you with the film and start times you get a small amount of information as well. The information that is provided is on the film and it also links you to the main websites. Cinema Search --------------------- On the site there is a search facility to allow you to look up your local cinema in your area. Also they’re a search option, which also bring up a map and information about the complex it’s located in. Find out where it is and how to get there by car or bus. Also if your looking for activities (Bowling, Ice skating) or just a place to eat (Pizza Hut, Burger King) that information is also displayed. There also information on contact details and the full addresses so you can keep a record of where you’re
going. If you want to check on anything there contact number for each site so you won’t have any problems. Booking on-line --------------------- To book on-line via the Internet is so simple; all you have to do is select your location and enter the film you want to watch and then from there select the performance. Sounds simple but that not all you’ve also got to fill in your credit card details. Please remember that on-line and telephone only accepts Visa, MasterCard and Switch. A little disappointing for students or younger group’s people whom carries solo. (NEVER MIND) Before all that you also have to enter the amount of tickets that you are requesting, e.g. adults, children, students, OAP and etc. The prices do vary on the performance time of films. Adult tickets £4.20 Child tickets £3.80 Cinemaniacs tickets £3.50 OAP tickets £4.00 Student tickets £2.70 Student tickets £4.20 Also a booking charge of 40 pence is added to the total at of each ticket for the handling times. And that it! Other thing on the websites ------------------------------------ You can also set up a mail shot to yourself to get a regular schedule of programs from your favourite cinema. That means you don’t even have to keep looking at the site and it encourages you to visit more often. Not only there information on the film but they also provide a list of links to other areas which are related to the site. (WARNER BROS STORE, THE CARTOON NETWORK) Overall ---------- The site is great and pack loads with information and is not very difficult to uses. If you have any problem with the site they’re also a feedback forms which you can fill in. I really do recommend ways to get your tickets, as it easier and you will not need to queue for ages and find out the film sold out. Just jump the Queue!
