Ordered a filing cabinet as a Christmas present - ordered on 17th December. in spite of a banner headline on the Smith's website announcing 'free postage on goods over £15' I was charged £6.50. Cabinet still has not turned up in spite of my account showing that the order has been completed. No response to my 3 emails either - absolutely dreadful customer service. Wish I had used Amazon.

I have grown up with WHsmith and when I was younger would always go there, to buy my records and school stationary. It was a shop with a great reputation and which sold good quality products. Sadly over the years the WHsmith I loved, has in my opinion, lost ground to the supermarkets and other online stores. However I was ...  Read the complete review

"WHSmith.co.uk" is the official website for the British high street retailer of the same name. It was first launched in 1995 and receives erratic traffic measurements which noticeably increase on an annual basis towards Christmas. I just had to use WH Smith last week to look for a book I could not find in store. I searched online on the site after being told by their staff they would have it online. The book was there to be found and I noticed on the side the book would be available in 1-2 weeks. I was happy with that as I needed the book in a months time. So I ...  Read the complete review

I usually buy my stationary products from WHSmith, and really like the fact that their prices are competitive, whether it be their own branded pens, pencils or premium branded fountain pens and hardback books. They have a fantastic facility for ordering books even if they do not have a particular book in store at that moment ...  Read the complete review

I normally visit WH Smiths from time to time for various photography & computer magazines. On a recent vist I was surprised to be told they no longer offer plastic carrier bags which I thought was slightly ridiculous as it was raining at the time. Hopefully they'll reverse that decision if they have not done so already ...  Read the complete review

I decided to use WHSmith.co.uk for some christmas presents this year because they offer free delivery and their delivery is a lot quicker than Amazon's super saver delivery. I have been using WHSmith online for a great deal of my Christmas shopping. The site is very easy to use. You just have to register your details and set up an account. There are times when I just cannot be bothered to get in the car, drive to the town centre and pay £3.50 to park. The internet is a wonderful invention. Using a link from www.mypoints.co.uk, I have recently made a couple of purchases from WHSmith online. WHAT DO THEY SELL? Books, videos, CDs, DVDs, ...  Read the complete review

I mainly use this site to buy books but I have also used it to get music and DVDs in the past. Generally I think it's really good. I've tended to avoid shopping at WHSmiths on the high street because they never used to reduce anything and you could always get it cheaper somewhere else. The online store seems to be much more ...  Read the complete review

I am of the opinion, that for non mainstream books the internet is the best choice. Too many high street shops will only sell mainstream titles, the most popular books that they think the consumer wants. They often neglect the less mainstream but often more worthwhile titles. For example, my favourite author is no longer popular in ...  Read the complete review
