I have been using Woolovers for about 6 years, although only recently via the internet - before just by phoning customer service. I am extremely pleased with the 4 jumpers just ordered - as always. They wear well and keep their shape and I like the fact that styles change frequently. However, as already told to Customer Service, I'm not entirely impressed with the delivery time. Although I opted for the free delivery which is delivered by 2nd class post, this took 10 days to reach me (inc. one day bank holiday) which in this day and age I don't think acceptable. I now know that if I want something quickly, I need to pay for 1st class post. I would much prefer a delivery company to be used as you can expect your goods within a couple of days maximum. Apart from this, great jumpers
After receiving my second order from Woolovers I am still delighted. Prompt service and a really quality product. The cashmere cropped cardigan I received this time in Rich Rose is a really comfy and finely knit piece of clothing. Trying to work out which other colour I would like now! It fits beautifully over a grey cashmere smock bought from Woolovers a couple of weeks ago. I am a size 16 and the Large was just right. Being short in the body the cropped style comes down just below my waist and is flattering. Sizing seems to be very accurate. I started ordering after a tip off from my husband who is an internet junky and found the site whilst looking for wool jumpers. If your item seems creased from packaging, hanging it over the bath and running some hot water, to steam it, really works. No pressing needed.
I'm a new customer to Wool Overs, but I have been delighted with everything I've purchased (7 items so far). The quality, price and choice available knocks all the usual chain store suppliers into a cocked hat!The website is clear and easy to use. Specific size guidelines are available for every item.Service is good, and exchanges made without fuss if you make a mistake on sizing. They seem to have regular offers too - free postage or a percentage discount, for example.Bye bye chain stores (you know who you are), Wool Overs now have a customer for life in me.
I have been a customer of Woolovers for a number of years and find their products to be very good quality for the price. The number of different styles, colour and material combinations make it difficult to choose which one to order! A big bonus for me has been that there is no scrimping on sleeve length either. No 3/4 length sleeves offered on something that is supposed to be keeping me warm. No problems with machine washing either. The jumpers and cardigans go in the machine and come out without losing shape even after a number of washes. Sometimes the sizing can be a little confusing but I have found the online help useful, particularly when buying a unisex style. Delivery is fairly fast, better than some online stores but not quite up there with the best.
One question ...... when are you going to offer shirts or blouses to wear with them?
I have bought several sweaters and similar items from Woolovers and have found both the products and service very good indeed. The company has been willing to exchange a product bought for me as a gift, and a year or so ago investigated mysterious holes that appeared in two garments - although they suspected moth damage they replaced the items, which is very good service indeed. A word of warning about sizing: I find the thick sweaters fine in Large, but in the thinner sweaters need XL, but once you know this it is not a problem. I really have nothing negative to say - the products are very good quality, good value (not necessarily 'cheap') and good service.
What a great company with excellent Customer Service! Last week I looked at the website and added a jumper to my basket. When I returned a couple of hours later, there was clearly a problem, meaning I couldn't complete the order. I was so impressed therefore the next day to receive an email apologising for the disruption to the website the previous day together with a voucher code giving £5 off for the inconvenience. Needless to say I ordered immediately! I have several Woolovers jumpers, cardigans and tank tops and wear them until they fall apart. I liked the comment on a previous review about adding a small amount of yarn to mend small holes - maybe this is something they should look at doing in future?
I ordered an Oxford collar black cardigan through the website, and had to change the details over the phone. What a helpful and friendly service! Also, a superb quality garment, beautifully warm and well-fitting. With many other firms I usually find a Medium is a bit tight, but this is superb. And the Woolovers website is second to none for ease of use and speed. Thank you!
I love Woolovers, I have been buying their sweaters for years, both for myself and as presents for family and friends. Their stock is well made and good value, their customer services team are friendly and helpful. They even ship overseas AND knock the VAT off when doing so!However, perhaps because I wear my sweaters to death, I find that they don't last terribly long, and a recent request for them to send me little pieces of wool for mending went unacknowledged...well, why would they?! I'll always go back for more! A very small complaint really, perhaps I wash them too often!!
I've ordered from Woolovers before for my father in law who is a difficult buy but he does love nice wool sweaters and as most shops are fashion style and he is 82 its hard finding classic clothes for older people esp men of a certain age.
I ordered the Huntsman Knitted Sweater which is a lovely thick jumper, very heavy but soft 100% British Wool, the patches on the sleeves are great for anyone who is active like my FIL who spends a fair amount of time in his shed or on the boat.
My only complaint is that despatch is quite slow so it didn't arrive when I expected it although it was still within the 5-7 days.
Id recommend if you are ordering as a gift make sure you do so at least a week in advance.
Delivery aside the products are always good quality and always well received.
Can't wear wool myself and have previously ordered silk/cotton cardigan, which I love. Have just ordered Cashmere/Merino sweater for my husband; it came within three days and is great. The measurements given were accurate and so helpful in deciding which size to order, and the quality and colour exactly as described. Fantastic service.
I ordered the Lambswool Vee Argyle Sweater in Pea Marl and I am so happy with it. Its 100% Soft Lambswool. I ordered the Small instead of the Medium (I'm a size UK 10/US 8) because of the sizing information that Woolovers provided. The arm length is perfect for me. I can layer the sweater with a T-shirt or a long sleeve, buttoned down shirt. Its PERFECT!! I wore it yesterday with my skinny leg jeans and cognac riding boots and got many compliments. The color(Pea Marl) is absolutely BEAUTIFUL and looks great against my brown skin. I will definitely order from Woolovers again if something grabs my interest. Also my purchase arrived quickly. I'm very happy.
I'd highly recommend Woolovers. Placed my first order recently and was amazed at the quality for the money Wool-cashmere mix feels soft and makes a thrifty alternative to 100% cashmere. I bought a cardigan, waistcoat and jumper and all are very pretty and well made (even the buttons are rather nice). Service was also good - reasonable P&P, arrived quickly and packaged well. A winner all round.
