Good old Woolworths is back with a bang online. Shortly after Woolworths stores closing nationwide across the UK the website closed down. Everyone thought that was the end of Woolworths but it was not after months of rebuilding the site back up it was finally back online. I was devastated when good old Woolies closed - purely for the very sad loss of the famous pick & mix and also because I always did the majority of my Christmas shopping there - they have everything under one roof as great prices. After the fall of woolworths, woolworths.co.uk has now returned and is looking bigger and better than ever. The site has had a complete redesign because the website now looks completely different and in my opinion is better. The layout of the website makes the website very easy to use because all of the categories are displayed at the top of the webpage by using images. These images are labelled and can be clicked which will then take you to that particular category where you can browse in more detail. Woolworths online is a great way to shop as there is more availability than going into your local store. There are often great bargains only available online and if you sign up to receive the emails you will be notified of sales and current deals. Postage isn't too expensive but often you can get free delivery on selected items. The site is simple to use and searching for items is quick and easy. I have ordered a good 30+ items from woolworths.co.uk mostly CDS DVDS and games although there has been other products such as toys and homewares. they offer a good service where you can order an item (which gets charged to your card once dispatched) and have it delivered to home which is free for CDS, DVDS and games or £4.95 for other items of have them delivered to store to pick up for free. The site is easy to navigate with a helpfull search engine. I have found the customer service to be a little slow at responding to queries.
