Advantages: Good prices, good range of products
Disadvantages: No order tracking facility
I'm starting to get well into this shopping on line malarky - heaven knows it beats traipsing the kids around town on a busy Saturday and running people over with the pushchair! The woolworths site is quite good but needs a bit more thought to make it completely wonderful. They have some wonderful bargains on at the moment. I've bought a steamer for doing the wallpaper and carpets etc for £29.99! Bargain! I've also bought the kids some winnie the pooh toys at £9.99 each instead of nearly £20. Some of the savings on offer are very good - especially if there's a kiddies birthday coming up soon. The downside is the ordering. Once you've ordered and paid for your goods, you get an email from woolies confirming your order. You then get another one to let you know when it's been dispatched. I'm still waiting to know when mine will be on it's way, but it is Bank Holiday weekend afterall. The problem is that even if you've registered on the site, there's no facility to go and check how your order is doing. On other sites you check your order status and see which items are ready to be dispatched, which are on backorder etc, but on the woolies site there is no such facility, or at least if there is I haven;t found it yet! The site is quite well laid out, with different 'departments' such as music, around the house etc. P&P is fairly reasonable as well - orders over £15 cost £2.95 - which in my view is quite good because it beats paying for carparking, finding a parking space, use of petrol etc. If you spend over £40 you also get a free gift, which at the moment is one of those little electronic mini-organiser things, something else to be doomed to the depths of my bag!
