Vista not worth the upgrade (MS Windows Vista Home Premium)

Disadvantages: Dont work with all your software or programs

I had been told that some of my programs and software would not work properly with vista and that even some of my add ons like printer would need new drivers to work correctly, and I thought it was just some people with sour grapes. But when I installed vista and tried to install my programs that I had paid good money for they would not work, so I thought never mind just go to the website of the company that sold me the program and get a patch or upgrade, and what did I see? Some of them did not have any upgrades or patches and others that did wanted to charge me for an upgrade. This is not on you buy a program for a few hundred pounds and then your told to pay x amount to get an upgrade.
Then the real problems started. I opened up one of my folder which had pictures and video files, and guess what? Windows explorer crashed.
Then I tried to install my favourite browser Firefox and you guessed it vista would not let me use it. Other problems then started to show itself. Photoshop stop working. I could go on but you get my drift, don't bother with vista (any version) just keep to windows XP and live will just be great

Summary: Give this operating system a miss for now, and stick with XP
