When windows seven was first launched i was excited as microsoft had promised a new operating system that was fit for the 21st century. However i did treat this with a large amount of caution as i had been promised this previously with windows vista.

My version came already pre installed on my laptop so i dont not have any experience on that side of things, however Many people have told me that installation is simple and hassle free.

The most impressive thing about windows 7 in my opinion is how user friendly the system is. Everything on windows seven is geared towards functionality for the user. Microsoft has really turned things around from vista, instead of you working for the pc the pc now works for you, and in a big way. It seems microsoft have really thought about the little deails and by improving them all it makes for an overall greater computing experience.

The system also looks very pretty too. Many people say the task bar is a rip off of the mac book task bar but Im not really to fussed about that because a good idea is a good idea in my book.

In terms of new features in windows seven there are a few good ones, again in my opinion all geared towards making it easier for the computer to work for you. However I do think windows may have held back on some new features as this system may have been 'steadying the ship' after the disaster which was vista.

Windows 7 has brought Pcs back on terms with macs and i expect the next version to deliver even more.
