This software offers incredible value for money and is, in my opinion, much cheaper than installing Windows on a new machine. It offers a full suite of office programs, and an excellent Photoshop alternative called, interestingly, 'GIMP' and great multimedia functionality - you get stacks of programs free with the system. I use it to colour hand-drawn cartoons, to store my photographs, to write and to design web pages and to handle my email. Changes in software laws now mean that you can read and create Windows-compatible documents also.
