stuff10 Microsoft Windows XP - Home Edition: ... XP is an operating system developed by Microsoft. It was first released in 2001 but has since been succeeded by Windows Vista and the forthcoming Windows 7. I have experience in using both XP and Vista (my work computer is XP, whilst I have Vista at home) and I can honestly say that I much prefer XP. When it was first released many people weren t impressed with XP, but I have grown to love it. The changed S...

... m new to the world of Apple Mac, well sort of. I did use an Apple II when I was at primary school! Since those days I ve been aware of Mac OS and the loyal fanbase it has based over the years on its stunning graphics. Fed up with Windows lack of speed, and weaknesses where viruses are concerned I decided it was time to stop buying Microsoft products. I am from a UNIX background, but the wife and kids only knew Windows. I couldn t see Linux as the way to go with too many varieties and complicated setups. Then I read that Mac OS X is now fully UNIX certified, which came as a bit of a surprise. My wife needed a new laptop, so we chose a MacBook, which was expensive b...

... it or Hate it, XP is a bit of a legend in the computing world, I don t think there is any other technology that has been around for 8 years without a replacement that has superseded it entirely. It has its security flaws, it has its limitations, but, it gets the job done and is arguably better than it s supposed replacement, Windows Vista. At the time of it s release the design was no doubt revolutionary, it brought colours to a grey world of windows, and made computer s more family-orientated; making it simple to have multiple users on a single computer and removing the need for an IT support team to keep it running smooth! But beneath the fancy new GUI the XP is e...

Deoborahkelly196 Microsoft Windows XP - Professional Edition
... Windows XP Professional Edition (XP) I got XP in the year 2002, I bought it to upgrade my old dell to this new operating system. The dell had Windows ME on it. I had the computer for two years and I never had the Internet ether, and I never got the internet untill 2006. When I bought the operating system I bought it in a computer shop in Lisburn called PC world. It wasn t too badly priced. It was only £100.00! Which wasn t too bad back then for an operating system. How did the Installation run... It installed very quick and easy to be honest. I just put it into my computer and then it brought up the installation and all you had to do is hit buttons that the sc...
