Microsoft Windows XP - Professional Edition ... I just got a new laptop running Windows XP Professional and let me tell you, I am very frustrated! I had it for 2 weeks now and I can hardly use it. The system is constantly crashing for no reason giving a different error each time. I am no computer wiz so i have no idea what the error messages mean. I searched the internet to find out that many people had the exact same problem. At first the messages said something about sysdata.xml and than minidump and swap and also memory and also recovery...... and the list goes on and on....needless to say that i will be returning my purchase to the store asking for explanation as to why this is happening.... Solaris 8 (x86) ... is a sun Microsystems operating system. Its mainly aimed at users who are interested in software (patricianly java) design. Solaris is a fully functioning O.S, but may have some compatibility problems with various software. If you do buy solaris you will find the security is of a high and hassle free standard. The system crashes you may experience on Microsoft windows are nearly non-existent. You will find a number of software packages included (zip) on the CD, these are open source programs (License free).
