System Preferences This is the Control Panel not too much to say on this really, it works in the same way as the windows control panel, you set all your preferences for everything on the computer. OSX does allow for a greater level of customisation compared to windows though, and the bundled screen savers are pretty cool. Automator Apple do go on about this quite a bit, and i can see why its good, but to be honest i think i ve used it once, and i really didn t have to it was just to try it out. Its basically like writing your own computer application, but its a lot easier to use, you can get it to do repet...

... As you may or may not know, both Operating Systems can be run on the same computer. This is actually incredibly handy. Although you have to restart the computer to jump into each system, it does give you the luxury of easing yourself in to Mac OSX. Which is something that has to be done, because it is very different. Apart from the beautiful aqua interface - which so many rave about; Apple have also made an awful lot of changes behind the scenes - they're nice, they're good, they're great, but they also take some getting used to; so it's good to be able to check up in OS9 and see the changes in OSX. Which is where the first small problem lay....

... don't consider myself a computer nerd at all. I used to think I was once. I was proud of it too, the idea that I could control the world from my own home computer. My first computer was a Apple Performa. A great machine that I owned for many years. I remember hom excited I got whenever I heard of a new system update. For the most part there were small changes, the way the desktop looked, the different search functions, the internet. Every one of these updates used to excite me to a point where I could not live without them.
