Mac OS X - Is it worth it? (Mac OS X)

I was a little disappointed with Mac OS X. It does have a very nice feel to it and everything follows through smoothly, if you know what I mean, it's got a good atmosphere to it. Although this is great I did find it seemed a lot more complicated to use than earlier Mac OS versions like 8.6 and 9.1. Of course it would take a little getting used to but overall everything is arranged in a much more awkward way.

At the moment I have both Mac OS 9.1 and Mac OS X installed on my computer, which is necessary for Mac OS X and because of this quite a large amount of RAM is required because of having to run two different operating systems. I have Mac OS 9.1 set up so it loads that system at start up and I have to change the settings for when I want the computer to load up using Mac OS X.

I think Mac OS X is only necessary, for the moment, to run Mac OS X programs and if you don't have any programs requiring Mac OS X you'd probably be better with Mac OS 9.1 for the moment, at least until it?s been upgraded.

Of course you don't have to listen to me, you could just say you need to put some time into learning how to operate Mac OS X but I think it needs to be less fancy and more simple and effective.
