Advantages: Powerful , stable (at last), useful tools

Disadvantages: compatability(software) , DOS support

I am going to say something that I never thought I would say but at last Microsoft have produced a stable operating system ,yeehah. Here are my experiences with it , firstly the installation procedure was faultless I already had Windows 98 and installed this over the top of it with no problems , this was quite a long process but even when windows came to the much lamented process of FINDING !! my hardware it did so effortlessly ( shock , horror , gasp) no Windows 95 plug n play trauma here. Later when I added a USB device Windows detected it immediately and that was it (I dont believe this).I have been using this operating system since February I think and have had no crashes/lock ups / freezes yet (touch wood).
This is the positive part now for the negative, software compatability , this is poor for older software and the Application Compatability tool does not work.
Other features I like are an improved sytem manager , a disk cleanup tool and a better add/remove programs .
Worth buying for experienced users but buy Windows M.E if you are a beginner.
