Microsoft Windows 98 Second Edition

For me this one of the most reliable and stable versions of Microsoft Windows. It was released in June 98 and the operating system before this was Windows 95. The operating which came after Windows 98 was Windows Me which had quite a few bugs when it was first released. Windows 98 came with useful tools which I know I used many times to get me out of trouble e.g. Disk Defragmenter and Msconfig which I used to speed up my system up and disable programs and services in Windows 98. Windows 98 is probably one of microsoft’s best operating systems, better in way than windows xp. The only problem now is the fact Microsoft no longer offers support and no updates. I personally would say not to bother buying this package as not a lot of software is compatible any more. If you have a fairly new computer, you will find that some of your hardware is not automatically detected and you will have to manual install if the drivers are available. I used all versions of windows starting from Windows 3.1 then Windows 95, Windows 97, Windows 98AE, Windows 2000, Windows ME, Windows XP all versions till now.
