Advantages: better than some microsoft systems

Disadvantages: out dated

Windows 98 is probably one of microsoft’s best operating systems, better in way than windows xp. The only problem now is the fact Microsoft no longer offers support and no updates. I personally would say not to bother buying this package as not a lot of software is compatible any more. If you have a fairly new computer, you will find that some of your hardware is not automatically detected and you will have to manual install if the drivers are available. It is true there are less security problems than windows xp.
