Advantages: Stable compared to Windows 98 First Edition

Disadvantages: Not as stable as Windows 2000 & Windows Millennium Edition

Although this operating system is not too bad (generally), it does seem to crash quite often on my PC. Since upgrading to Windows Millennium I no longer experience as many system crashes.

If you are currently using Windows 95 or Windows 98 First Edition, I would recommend upgrading straight to Windows Millennium rather than Windows 98 Second Edition. I'm not sure of the price differences, but Windows Millennium is much more stable.

If you are currently running Windows 98, there is no major benefits by upgrading to Windows 98SE. Most of the extras can be downloaded free of charge from the microsoft.com website.
