Advantages: Easy to use

Disadvantages: Not very many additions from the first edition

Another great success (dare i say) from Microsoft. Windows 98 Second edition does not have many upgrades from the previous first edition. One of the only main differences is that it has the ability to support multiple monitors, and not many people really need that feature anyway. Microsoft windows 98 First edition and Second edition are really easy to use and it is an ideal operating system for a beginner. Windows 2000, however is what i think not to be a great success, but i think that windows millenium has great potential.

Windows 2000 is NOT aimed for the consumer market. It's for business/power users. and it IS a great success :)
I dare to say that Windows ME will suck so bad as 98. Want a good consumer OS from Microsoft? Wait for Whistler (aka Windows 2001).
