Advantages: Fast Boot time

Once angain MS make a packet out of a upgrade, there noting special in ME that makes it worth upgrading from 98, except a nice quirk where the controls panel crashes if you install some hardware it doesn't like.

Although this problem is covered on the MS Knowledge base. But once again MS relases software with bugs in. I was expecting to see the nice menu scrolls from Win2K built into the interface but they were missing.

There are a couple of extra pieces of software thrown in as standard though, the windows movie maker makes a fair stab at a video editing package and the system restore works, providing you can find it!

Win ME is faster to boot but in my opinion a couple of seconds of the boot time isn't worth the hassle.
