Advantages: Read the Windows 98 opinion, it'll be the same as that

Disadvantages: It's all in the opinion

Well, yes it is DOS with pretty pictures on. The Microsoft Sound is better, more relaxing, but I'm sure everyone changes that as soon as they get it. It's really a matter of how much you like this OS; if you like it then you will stick with it until hte next version comes out or yoyu can hate it and buy Linux or BeOS or something else.

Basically it's not an improvement, it's the same, with more restrictions eg. a smaller control panel. This really limits experienced users.

The other new features are... acctually I don't know. You can have quicker access to things which run under Windows Me and this makes it a lot better than Windows 98. But it has a lot more things to juggle and this makes things a lot slower.

Microsoft Media Player 7 comes with it, which is much better and more advanced than the other previous versions. The utilities are new aswell, like a more effective disk defrag and system diagnostics too.

So, I'll say not to buy this because it will come with your computer anyway.

If it came with Windows 98 then go on. You might aswell.

Another cash-in by M$. I swear re-released products with minor fixes and slight GUI tweaks are supposed to be freeware patches?

Sorry about the low rating but you haven't informed me at all. All you've told me is that it comes with a different sound. Please try to add a bit more. ;-)
