Advantages: better set-up

Disadvantages: blue screens

I have used various operating systems before including Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows 98 plus and Windows Millennium Edition. I have to say windows ME is the best operating systems I have used so far for set-up and installation. It is excellent because it has a wider range of system tools including "system restore" which allows you to restore your computer back to an earlier date and this is good because if you have an error one day you can go back say a week and the error will be gone.

Windows Millennium Edition also has better and more programs installed on it which are useful to most people, for example it has MSN messenger already installed on it so you don’t have to download it off the Internet, MSN messenger is a program which allows you to talk to your friends online.

The only real problem that Windows Millennium has is it always crashes about every six hours and when their are errors on the computer it doesn’t fix them properly it just gives you a blue screen all the time saying either "system halted" or "system unstable" or something like that and you have to keep turning the computer on and off which is rather annoying I find.

At first this operating system is pretty good but then it gets worst as you use it. If I was you I wouldn’t buy Windows ME because it is a lot of effort for something that quite frankly isn’t worth the effort, better off getting Windows XP now.

Its funny you should mention that actually. When I was visiting my parents over xmas I had a play around on their new PC with windows ME (mine has 98) and found that it kept doing all manner of stupid things, sending me error messages and abruptly shutting down programmes (which my PC has never done). At least I know now what caused it! Oh, and thanks for the COF addition BTW! :-)
