XP is nicer than VISTA (Microsoft Windows XP - Home Edition)
Member Name: rks985
Advantages: good operating system Disadvantages: Not as easy to get round as previous windows versions I have had andused windows xp for several years now and have just advanced onto VISTA however I would say to all people with XP to stay wit this versions of windows. The xp version has a wide variety of software that works from windows 98 also but on the new windows version of VISTA not many windows 98 software works with it. I take it to be a fact that the windows operating systems stopped allowing users t use the microsoft dos prompt after windows 2000 millenium edition. I find XP allows the user to do many things and also has the same type of back routes to get round problems as its previous counterparts. It also does not ask you every five minutes for administrator privilages, whic as far as im concerned if you sign in on the administrator password it should not keep asking you every few seconds whether you would like to be in administrator mode, it should stay in it. Summary: Good and reliable
