Advantages: Fresher look, Easier to use, Much more on offer
Disadvantages: Quite different to other editions, so you may need to play around to get use to it
When I first bought Windows ME I was slightly disappointed, as although easier to use, not much was different compared with Windows 95 and 98. Windows XP changes all that... So what's different... THE TASKBAR: A whole new Start Menu, offering a cheerful new image to Microsoft. At first it may seem too different to like but when comapred with the previous versions of Windows this new look is PERFECT. Also, replacing the old grey look is a new blue taskbar and interface to please all users! THE GAMES: Similar to those of Windows ME but for the sake of new Windows users there is: Freecell, minesweeper, hearts, pinball, solitaire and spider solitaire. There are also 4 games that can be played over the Internet: No registration is needed and you are appointed a player automatically, so simple.... LEARN XP: An intercative programme that comes with Windows XP to take you on a tour of the new feautures and changes. MY DOCUMENTS: A whole new folder JUST for YOU! With links to folders such as My Pictures and My Music. There is also a whole new look to each folder making in easier to use and with small thumbnails, easy to view documents without having to open them! There's so much more but I would need hundreds of pages to explain it! Hopefully this has given you an insight into the world of Windows XP. Trust me, if you don't have it yet, you need it...

- 10/05/03 What about the vast differences to do with it being built on the NT kernel rather than the windows 95 one?
What were your differences - oh yeah, it's blue and it's got some different games... |

- 14/04/03 I never got on very well with ME - seemed to be very crash prone. XP's a huge improvement.
Goo d op.

- 13/04/03 Not bad, you might want to add a little more info to be sure of getting a VU rating. |
