I have recently installed Ubuntu 8.04 on my old laptop, which only has 128mb. Installing was extremely easy and took around 50 minutes. It also operates approx. 3 times faster than Windows. It recognised all my hardware and installed the drivers without any problem, even my wireless network card. The main display is very simple. On the top bar, the drop down menus are Applications, Places, System. There are also 3 icons for Firefox (Internet Browser), Evolution Mail and Help. It boots up. heh.. It boots up.

Fast , Sturdy and simple to configure Not cheap compared to linux , doesn't have the same sort of community as linux , microsoft slower to update linux , poor games support.
