=300ML Bottle=
The bottle of Corsodyl that I had was the mint flavour, which is not the best tasting mouthwash, but as the old saying goes what doesn't taset good, does you good. The bottle was a glass bottle, and has a plastic cap, I purchased mine as I had a couple of mouth ulcers that were being troublesome.
=What can it be used for=
It can be given used for pre dental surgery and for afterwards to promote healing. it can also assist with bleeding gums, mouth ulcers and help to prevent the build up of plaque.
=How to use=
You should allow at least half an hour after cleaning your teeth, and once you have removed the cap you need to locate the 10ml mark, as you fill the cap to this point with 10mls of the liquid. You swish this liquid around in your mouth for a minute, without swallowing, it is recommended that you do this twice a day.
=If in doubt=
It is always worth checking with your dentist or ask at the pharmacy about the length of time you should be using this mouthwash as it is a strong mixture and care needs to be taken.
=Warnings=
There are care instructions on the bottle, about use and not using the product.
How did I feel=
This was like a bull in a china shop, it did an amazing job, and within 3 days my mouth ulcers had cleared up, and I was very impressed with this.
=Would I recommend=
I would recommend this mouthwash for anyone who has gum problems as this is a strong and powerful solution.

Aquafresh Extra Fresh Daily Mouthwash Fresh Mint
by alyson29
Whilst carrying out one of my stock up shops in Poundland a couple of months ago, I noticed a new mouth wash made by Aquafresh; a brand that I consider to be expert in oral care. As the bright blue sturdy bottle contained 500 ml I felt this to be excellent value for money and my purchase was made with this review discussing my ... experience.
I have always taken good care of my teeth, which was no doubt down to my mother's persistence when I was a child where I was made to brush every time after eating and as a result, I can proudly admit that at the age of 45 years I only have two fillings. Whilst I wouldn't consider myself to be obsessive when it comes to oral care, I use mouth washes several times throughout the day, as I adore the fresh minty taste that they offer. As a result, I am always on the look out for new products, as the stronger the better as far as I am concerned, as I favour a strong burning sensation.
Despite the packaging luring me into my purchase, it was only when I arrived home with my purchase that I realised that the mouth wash is alcohol free, which gave me the distinct impression that it wouldn't be strong enough for me. However, determined not to waste my money and keen to try it out, particularly as the manufacturer, namely Glaxo Smith Kline claim that this is an extra fresh daily mouth wash, I decided to put it to the test.
I was pleased to discover that the bottle had been hygienically packaged, so that nobody could have previously tampered with the lid and whilst there was a perforated strip contained on the upper section of the bottle, I found it a little difficult to access. The plastic packaging was considerably sturdy and after frustratingly attempting to find the end of the perforations, I began to pull, which was when I realised that the packaging covered the entire bottle. It was at this point that I realised that the liquid content was actually clear as opposed to the vivid blue that I had anticipated due to the colour of the packaging. I mention the packaging simply because those consumers who struggle with opening products may find this difficult to open and therefore, require some assistance.
Unlike the majority of brands that I generally buy, the screw top lid is easily opened and doesn't have to be squeezed prior to turning, which I found most favourable. The aroma met me with great surprise particularly as the alcohol free mouth washes that I had previously tried were extremely bland in both aroma and taste. I was considerably taken back, as it was very powerful with a strong mint aroma. As a result, I was intrigued to discover how it would taste and I cannot admit to being disappointed.
The directions on the reverse of the bottle advise to rinse the mouth twice a day with 10 ml of the neat mouth wash. However, as I was unable to measure the liquid I simply guessed and was pleasantly surprised with the strength, which offered the familiar and very favourable slight burning sensation, which I adore. I must admit that it well exceeded my usual brands, which contain alcohol and this surprised me. We are informed not to rinse the mouth with water after use, which will no doubt weaken the effect of the mouth wash.
Whilst my usual mouth washes generally deliver a fresh and clean feeling to the mouth for around fifteen minutes or so after using, I found that this product provides freshness for well over an hour. In doing so, I have the assurance that it is killing any bacteria that is lingering in my mouth and that its inclusion of fluoride is actively protecting my teeth. The claim is that with regular use, the mouth wash will help prevent plaque build up in addition to strengthening enamel although this is obviously one that I am unable to evidence. Whilst I am not a smoker and nobody has informed me that I suffer with bad breath, I feel confident that my mouth smells clean and fresh.
This is no doubt the best mouth wash I have ever used and the fact that it contains no alcohol is a bonus. Despite being of the opinion that I had bagged a bargain in Poundland, a quick online search informed me that Body Care sell the identical size bottle for 86p. I feel a five star rating to be appropriate together with a high recommendation.
I hope you found my review useful and thanks for reading. Read the complete review |
