Oral B Anti-Plaque Alcohol-Free Mouth Rinse
by MsTricia
I am not going to lie, looking after my teeth is not always top of my list. I don't floss every day and I haven't been to the dentist for absolutely ages! Nevertheless I still try to make a conscious effort to impose good dental hygiene especially with having a little one, so brushing my teeth twice a day is important and for myself and ... the other half using mouthwash is also a good way for me to feel better about myself about not going to the dentist!
I spotted this mouthwash on on sale in Superdrug for £1.25 for a 500ml bottle reduced from £2.50. As Oral B is a really trusted brand it seemed a good bargain and it was a happy purchase into my imaginary basket. It comes in quite a basic transparent plastic bottle, with simple labels on the front and back. It has a white child proof cap which is good as it means my daughter can't get her little mitts on it and start downing the bottle!
The mouthwash itself itself is bright blue and reminds me of a fizzy pop drink I used to drink when I was younger. The bottle recommends to pour 15ml into the cap and swish around for 30 seconds twice a day. It tastes brilliantly minty and is easy to use and using small dosages at a time this bottle can last us a good month or so. The label explains that the mouthwash is alcohol free and it helps fight bacteria, freshens breath, fights plaque formation, protects against gum problems, and helps prevent cavities. Hmmm!!
In all fairness when I use the mouthwash my breath feels significantly fresher for longer and I can see the all the bacteria coming out. Of course not being to the Dentist for a while I am not 100% sure how effective it is but to my knowledge it works well! Although in terms of the "protects against gum problems" I can't vouch for it completely as I woke up this morning with the most excruciating of gum pains...ouch! I thought it was my wisdom tooth but I can't see it making a move and it feels much more gum orientated :(
My brother always gets sore gums and chapped lips from using on the market oral hygiene products so he uses an aloe vera toothpaste with very little fluoride and this mouthwash is also good for him as it doesn't sting. Overall this is a good mouthwash I like using, and if something is on offer I am always happy to give it a try, so if I spot it again going for a bargain I will no doubt pick it up again! Oral B Pulsar Toothbrush
by NUDUL
I am particular about what type of toothbrush I use and tend to stick to my electric Oral B even though the heads are quite expensive. You wouldn't believe how many times I have left it at my mums house when I've been to stay for the weekend with my husband and son. Unfortunately we live over ninety miles away so I can't just nip back ... around for it either.
We were shopping at Morrison's the other day and saw these toothbrushes on offer and decided that for £2.56 we should get one each to leave at my mums. The other upside is that they are completely different to the brushes my younger sister and her partner had left there already. Morrison's only had them in green or blue with a medium head, I generally prefer a hard head but since it is only for every now and again, I got one of each colour. I know that the brushes Morrison's have to offer are not the whole range and that you can get them in other colours with a soft bristled head too, but at the time, I just saw those on offer.
The toothbrush itself looks like a disposable toothbrush rather than the bulky electric ones that you can change the heads on. The bottom comes off, this is so you can replace the battery in the brush, although you can't replace the heads. The middle of the shaft of the brush has two buttons on, one is a plus sign and one is a minus, the plus turns the brush on and the minus off as expected so it is easy enough to use while brushing. The shaft of the toothbrush is ergonomically designed so it is easy to use. It has a rubberised grip all down it so when it gets wet while brushing you don'y lose track of it.
The brush is designed to lift food and plaque whilst stimulate the gums by using the Micropulse bristles and pivoting and pulsing. It has a pressure sensitive head and this adjusts to the contours of the teeth and gums, getting into the hard to reach areas easily. This also helps to moderate the amount of pressure that is applied to them. The head penetrates deeply between the teeth and makes sure that the food and plaque is swept away from the teeth and gums completely.
I have used this brush a couple of times with normal whitening toothpaste and have been extremely happy with the results. My teeth and gums feel clean and the head is actually hard enough to be able to feel like I have had a brush as good as if I had been using my electric toothbrush at home. The pulse wasn't too strong either. I would happily recommend it for anyone, my husband has even got a second one to use at home instead of his normal manual toothbrush.
They are a good price, widely available and because they are battery powered, the pulse lasts long enough to keep your teeth sparkling. Read the complete review |

Oral-B 3D White Brilliance Toothpaste
by Searz
I used to use Colgate whitening toothpaste all the time and swore it was the best toothpaste around. However, I tried Oral B 3D white as it was on special offer and was amazed by the results. Firstly my mouth felt fresher than it has before, a similar freshness that I would associate with using a mouthwash. My teeth felt smooth and silky ... and I literally sat running my tongue along them, both front and back. After continued continued use I genuinely saw a difference in my tooth colour it had lightened and after a couple of weeks I had a noticeably brighter smile.
So if you want a fresher feeling mouth, smoother cleaner feeling teeth, whiter brighter teeth with a clean feeling that lasts then oral b 3D white is the toothpaste for you! I love this toothpaste and have already convinced my mum and sister to change to it and hopefully this review will make you try to. Read the complete review |
